I’m having an email discussion here, which some might find interesting, with Patricia Lefave, a writer, social-psychological theorist and psych-survivor. The discussion revolves around an essay Lefave wrote about the self-justifying, tautological mental operations in many psychiatrists doing diagnoses, and some questions I posed to her about often seeing similar psychological blinders in some repeat patients.

    Hi again,

I read a quite alot of Patricia’s and your dialogue.yes yes we need more of this kind of speak.she has fantasic insight into the biological headset currently in vogue in mh.(the stuff in place doesn’t deserve a proper english word to describe).what’s inplace called help is nothing but a void-there is nothing out there in mh and yes its getting more scary all the time with all the all these vicious minders out there in the words of am. poet charles Bukowski who taught me how to do mean myself-to all the minders”your’re full of shit” “get out of here”.
